Our Ing. Victor Manuel del Castillo has participated in the event “Aviation Summit Mexico” in February and here you can find out what were the five things he learned from this summit.
Five issues that I would like to highlight about the “Aviation Summit Mexico” on February 28, 2019 in Mexico City, organized splendidly by IATA / ACI / CANAERO / ALTA:
1.- Excellent organization with very good attendance, full room +400 national and international assistants. I learned a lot.
2.- “The construction of the Santa Lucia Airport a challenge for Mexico”: Alexandre de Juniac CEO of IATA. In my opinion I think he wanted to express that it would not be functional. (We will see).
3.- “The New International Airport of Mexico (NAICM) investment did not correspond to the reality in Mexico”: Javier Jiménez Espriu, Secretary SCT of Mexico. In my opinion one of so many political excuses.
4.- “I invite to help, to criticize, to advise and to support the SCT / DGAC, we are receptive”: Javier Jiménez Espriu, Secretary SCT of Mexico. I take the word to help them.
5.- In my opinion, the best panel was “De México Para el Mundo” with the four CEOs of the main Mexican Airlines, moderated by our talented Gabriela Frias from CNN en Espanol. Congratulations to all of them, they contributed a lot.
We need more quality events like those with serious analysis in aviation in our region.
