On 9 July 2019 in Mexico City, the European Union Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) concluded a Working Arrangement with the Directorat General of Civil Aeronautics (DGAC) of Mexico, with an intention to achieve a high uniform level of civil aviation safety, security and environmental protection.

This Working Arrangement is the first one signed by EASA with a country of the Latin America and Caribbean region. It was signed by Patrick Ky, Executive Director for EASA and the Director General of Civil Aeronautics of Mexico, Rodrigo Vasquez in the presence of Carlos Morán, Minister of Transport of Mexico, and Klaus Rudischhause, EU Ambassador to Mexico.

With the Working Arrangement EASA is committed to provide assistance to DGAC of Mexico with the institutional and regulatory harmonization of the Mexican legislation with EU standards and technical requirements in the field of aviation safety. According to this Arrangement EASA may assist DGAC with the establishment of Mexico’s State Safety Programme, Safety Management System and Fatigue Risk Management System in accordance with ICAO standards.

Let us remind you that ICARUS solution complies with the latest trends so it satisfies requirements from EASA.

Congratulations to EASA and DGAC of Mexico on this cooperation!
